Jonathan De Souza is an Associate Professor at the University of Western Ontario (Canada). He studies music and embodiment, combining music theory, psychology, and phenomenology. His monograph, Music at Hand: Instruments, Bodies, and Cognition (Oxford, 2017), received an Emerging Scholar Award from the Society for Music Theory.
